I have five years of experience working with individuals and couples navigating issues related to ADHD and Autism, anxiety, depression, PTSD (and C-PTSD), trauma, infidelity, low self-esteem, gender/sexuality, loss of connection with romantic partner, and grief. I especially enjoy working with clients who are wanting to understand their internal emotional experiences and behaviors on a deeper level and heal past hurts so they can move through the world and connect with others deeply and healthily. I am passionate about working with LGBTQ+ clients, and am a queer therapist myself with ADHD. I welcome clients of all backgrounds and identities and strive to provide an affirming and accepting space regardless of your beliefs/experiences/identities you hold.
I believe that you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to be a guide in your healing journey. I take a warm and collaborative approach with my clients. I will also be direct and provide structure in sessions when needed (we all need someone to call us out with kindness). I am a big fan of using humor and sarcasm in therapy and believe that therapy should be a space where you can show up unpolished, imperfect, and even messy.
I will use a mix of approaches and interventions that are tailored specifically to your needs, your identities, and your goals. I use evidenced-based therapy models, like EMDR, Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. I also use more experiential approaches like internal family systems, somatic work, and inner child work.
