Clinical Experience and Education
I graduated with my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in May of 2024 from Kansas State University. In August of 2024, I began my PhD program at Kansas State University in Marriage and Family Therapy. I became licensed soon after in August of 2024 and have been practicing as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since. I am nearing the end of my PhD program and officially am a Doctoral Candidate, meaning I am in the final stretch of my 10th, and thankfully last, year of college.
I won’t bore you with all of the details of my research, but I do think some pieces are worth mentioning. My research broadly focuses on healthy relationships (including intimate partnerships, parent-child relationships, sibling relationships, and human-animal relationships). Specific topics I have researched are intimate partner violence, child abuse and neglect, animal abuse, and family violence as a whole. Through my experience with research, I have learned a lot about research-backed interventions to assist my clients who have been through traumatic experiences to help them heal as an individual and in their relationships with one another. I stay up to date on new findings related to relationships, mental health, well-being, you name it. I may not have all the answers, but I will be able to find them or point you in the right direction.
I am an EMDR-trained therapist and am currently working towards training to become a sex therapist and an EFT-certified therapist.
I work with individuals and couples who struggle with…
